Disability Support Services FAQ

About EverythingU

Are you a registered NDIS disability support provider on the Gold Coast?

Yes. EverythingU is a Gold Coast-based disability support service working with NDIS participants across South-East Queensland. We provide personalised support designed around your goals, not a checklist.

What areas do you cover?

We’re based on the Gold Coast and support participants across the region and wider QLD. If you’re not sure whether we cover your suburb, give us a call on 0473 818 268 — we’ll let you know straight away.

What makes EverythingU different from other disability support providers?

We focus on real relationships, not transactions. That means matching you with support workers who genuinely fit your personality and preferences, taking time to understand your goals, and showing up consistently. Support that’s human, not box-ticking.

Services

What disability support services do you offer?

We offer daily living support, community participation, supported independent living (SIL), social and recreational activities, skill development, and personal care. Every service is tailored to the individual.

Do you provide personal care?

Yes. We provide respectful, dignified personal care — showering, dressing, grooming, toileting — delivered by support workers you know and trust, always on your terms.

Can you help with supported independent living (SIL)?

Yes. We support participants living independently with the right level of help to make daily life work — from cooking and cleaning to household routines and overnight support where needed.

Do you help with community participation and social activities?

Absolutely. Whether it’s getting to the gym, joining a class, catching up with friends, or trying something new, we help you get out and stay connected.

Do you offer skill development?

Yes. We help participants build practical life skills — cooking, budgeting, using public transport, communication, confidence — at a pace that works for you.

NDIS basics

What is the NDIS and what support does it provide?

The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is Australia’s government-funded scheme that provides support to people under 65 with a permanent and significant disability. It funds reasonable and necessary supports to help you live more independently and pursue your goals.

What disabilities does the NDIS cover?

The NDIS covers a wide range of permanent disabilities, including intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive, neurological and psychosocial disabilities. Common examples include autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury, multiple sclerosis, vision and hearing impairment, and psychosocial disability. Eligibility depends on how the disability impacts your daily life — not just the diagnosis.

What kinds of NDIS supports are there?

NDIS supports fall into three main categories: Core Supports (everyday assistance like personal care and community access), Capacity Building (developing skills and independence), and Capital Supports (assistive tech and home modifications). We work across Core and Capacity Building.

Can you give some examples of NDIS supports?

Sure — help with showering and getting ready in the morning, a support worker taking you to the shops or a social group, learning to cook your own meals, building confidence to use public transport, or having someone alongside you while you pursue a hobby or fitness goal.

Does the NDIS support families and carers?

Yes, indirectly. While NDIS funding is for the participant, many supports — like respite, community access, and in-home assistance — give families and carers meaningful breaks and peace of mind.

Getting started

How do I become an NDIS participant?

You apply through the NDIA by submitting an Access Request Form, along with evidence from your GP or specialist about your disability and how it affects your daily life. If you’d like a hand understanding the process, we’re happy to walk you through it.

I have an NDIS plan. How do I start with EverythingU?

Easy. Get in touch on 0473 818 268 or hello@everythingu.com.au. We’ll have a no-pressure chat about your goals and current plan, then map out how we can help.

Do I need to be self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed to use EverythingU?

We work with self-managed and plan-managed participants. If you’re NDIA-managed, get in touch and we’ll let you know the best path forward.

Can you support people who aren’t on the NDIS?

Yes. We also offer privately-funded disability support for people who aren’t NDIS participants or who want services beyond their plan. Have a chat with us about what you need.

Working with us

How do you match support workers to participants?

We take time upfront to understand your personality, preferences, routines, and what makes you comfortable. Then we match you with workers who genuinely fit — not whoever happens to be available.

How do Can I choose or change my support worker?

Yes. Choice and control is the whole point. If a match isn’t working, tell us and we’ll sort it.

How do Can I Are your support workers qualified and screened?
